I’m Leopoldo, the bartender behind FullBarAlchemist. With over 8 years of bartending experience in the DMV, I’ve worked in some of the city’s busiest restaurants and cocktail bars — and now I bring that same expertise and energy directly to your event.
At Barcelona Wine Bar on 14th Street, I learned what it truly means to be a bartender: caring for guests while managing the demands of a high-volume restaurant. That experience built my foundation in hospitality, speed, and precision.
My journey continued at Residents Café & Bar, where I expanded my knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and refined guest service. There, I developed an appreciation for creativity and the art of mixology.
Today, I serve as Beverage Manager at MercyMeDC, where I continue learning new techniques and refining my skills in bar operations. While I’m not the one creating the cocktail program, I’ve gained invaluable experience managing staff, overseeing flow, and supporting a professional beverage program.
In addition to restaurants, I’ve also worked extensively at private events, where I’ve learned how to set up bars professionally from scratch, stay organized under pressure, and adapt to any environment. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or private celebration, I know how to ensure smooth service and an exceptional guest experience.
What drives me most is hospitality. Bartending isn’t just about pouring drinks — it’s about creating memorable moments, connecting with people, and making sure every guest feels taken care of.
